Daily Calorie Needs & Portions

5–10 lbs: 200–300 kcal → ⅔–1 cup/day
10–20 lbs: 300–500 kcal → 1–1.5 cups/day
20–40 lbs: 500–900 kcal → 1.5–3 cups/day
40–60 lbs: 900–1,200 kcal → 3–3.75 cups/day
60–80 lbs: 1,200–1,500 kcal → 3.75–4.75 cups/day
